Your trip looks lovely, Kayla! I've been to Cuchara quickly once before. I'm trying to talk my husband into going back. Looking forward to your ideation exercise!!
Kayla, thanks for a fun share of your Colorado trip. It's a spectacular place on this planet and phone photos definitely cannot show the awe filled beauty!
You did the presentation party after all!! Yay! 👏🏼 We held one the other day and were amazed by how seriously our friends came prepared. It was great fun!
Thanks for sharing about your trip with us—I love seeing places from artists' perspectives. And of course, your personal humor/candor and footnotes/asterisks always bring a smile too. Hope you can have another fun trip before long!
Thank you!!! That means a lot! 🥹 I started out just writing a bulleted list of what we did, but then changed it to be more about the feeling of what we did! ha!
Oh, YES! I love it when people take a theme seriously! What were some of your favorite presentations about?
“Wow, we live on a planet” I love this! Such a beautiful recollection of the trip, we need to be reminded of the magical and beautiful nature that surrounds us. Also, I love the quick ideation exercise I think I’m going to try that too. ✨
Thank you!! I feel like once a week or so, I'm looking at something or just thinking about a cool bird I saw and have to stop and let the words "we live on a planet" wash over me. haha
The ideation exercise is SO EASY and fast! I'll make another quick post about it, but you can probably figure it out just from the picture haha
Trip looks amazing. I totally agree that sketchbooks are far better at capturing views than phone cameras. Looking forward to this ideation exercise walkthrough.
This trip looks so fun! Pens AND minds exploding?! (Due to living on a planet.) Exhilarating!
Haha!! It was! We packed in so much stuff in a short time. Borrowing fun from the future!

I wasn't expecting it to be so small! It was really quiet and the air smelled fresh, like an evergreen!

SO TRUE! I would pull up my phone camera and the same beautiful mountain would turn into a sad little hill on the screen haha

They were all so good, but I loved finding out how much a cloud weighs!! 🤯
Oooooh HEAVY!!!!
So beautiful! I grew up not too far from there, near Alamosa :) Such a special area.
It really is special! And nothing was crowded. It felt like we had every place, every beautiful view all to ourselves!

Totally agree with your comment! I'm looking forward to Kayla's future ideation post!
