Hi everyone!
This is my first “official” Odd Thoughts post. Welcome and thanks for spending a few minutes with me! I have sent out exactly 1 email newsletter this year (in January) and, in light of discovering Substack through other illustrators, I’m going to build my newsletters here for the time being and share on a more regular schedule. I like the more social aspect of this space vs my lonely little webpage. :)
Anyway a list of what’s to come / on my to do list for this space.
• Branding this the Kayla way. (mindmapping? yes!) and creating custom illustrations (spots, headers, characters, etc.) And of course I’ll be showing the ins and outs of this process.
• A podcast! There is a recording scheduled for this week! It will be sporadic, but I hope it will be fun and informative (an invisible coworker(s) for fellow illustrators* toiling away) :) *not just for illustrators, everyone is welcome to listen
•My Domestika Experience: I’ll share what it was like working with them and creating a course.
•Process posts: for client and personal work
•Inspiration and thoughts from my life and how that informs my illustration / me as a person.
